Hotel Review: Quirk Hotel
Hello Travelers!
Just popping in to give a quick thumbs up to the Quirk Hotel in Richmond, Virginia.
The Quirk Hotel is just that, a quirky boutique hotel on the corner of a quaint street in Richmond. Awashed in Millennial Pink, this hotel caters to Millennial travelers. The lobby is warm and inviting with sections set off for the coffee bar, near its art gallery and finally the open dining room for the restaurant.
I stayed in the King Bed room which had rustic hardwood flooring which were actually the original flooring from the old JB Mosby men's department store.
The rooms boast high ceilings and a spacious floor plan. I love the barn doors that are used for the bathrooms. I also loved the stadium seating section that flanked the left side of the room but was disappointed with the view of the parking lot.
I ended up getting a great deal on it as well with the Washingtonian Offer that included complimentary valet, a bottle of Simonet, $25 food a beverage credit and 2 tickets to the Valentine Museum. Keep in mind that hotels do change their offerings from time to time but if you are able to take advantage of this offer for a weekend try it as Richmond is just an hour or two ride away from DC, making it an easy day trip.
While at the Quirk don’t forget to visit these nearby restaurants:
Bar Solita- Their orecchiette pasta dish was delicious and very filling
Switch Pop Up Bar- I had a chance to pop in here for a look and it was quiet interesting. Seems like it’s a rotating exhibition space this winter it has a Game of Thrones theme.
Happy Travels,
KJ
